The Lutheran Church of Australia has a rich history in education. Since the first Lutheran school opened in 1839, Lutheran schools have grown considerably with currently almost 130 Lutheran Schools and Pre-Schools in Australia. Operating for over 175 years, Lutheran schools have built a reputation for excellence in Christian education.

Lutheran Education Victoria, New South Wales & Tasmania (LEVNT)

LEVNT supports Lutheran schools and Early Childhood Centres so that they can in turn further assist the students by delivering quality Christian-based education. This is done through building capacity in schools and early learning centres by providing support, advice, mentoring, networking opportunities, and professional learning opportunities.

School Council

St John’s Lutheran Primary School Portland has a governing council who are elected representatives from within the local Portland Lutheran congregation. The key role of the School Council is to ensure the ongoing viability of the School and develop the strategic planning of the school.
